The Courses and Qualifications

In Year 10, students study for GCSEs in English Language, English Literature, Maths, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Computing plus one optional GCSE. These GCSE courses are complemented are combined with a STEM Technical Award, specialising in Medical Science or Digital Technology.

In Year 12 students choose one of 3 Routes: Level 3 A Level, Level 3 Technical or Level 3 Combined.

School hours and expectations

The school day reflects the 9-5 working day.

Independent work will differ from ordinary 'homework' and will always complement lessons

Time will be allocated every day for students to undertake personal study.

Students will be able to access learning online if they need to finish a piece of work after hours.

We believe it’s important young people have time to pursue leisure interests alongside study.

Students will wear appropriate business attire for school.

Our staff

Our Principal will take up post in January. Mr. Dan Sydes has been appointed from the Outstanding Reading UTC and brings with him all the enthusiasm of a seasoned UTC teacher and leader.
